What is the source effect? What is the load effect?

AddTime:2017-04-21 13:36:57

The power source output is not absolutely the same, for example, when working in a stable power supply voltage when the output voltage due to the input voltage or load changes due to changes caused by the change of output voltage is small, when in the working state is stable constant current power supply, the output current will be due to changes in input voltage or due to load changes and changes. To measure the extent of this change, that is, to measure the stability of a stable power supply, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) introduces the concept of source effect and load effect when formulating stable power standards.
The source effect is called the source effect only if the change in output stability is caused by the change in the amount of input. For an ordinary regulated power supply: the input amount refers to the input voltage, that is, AC 220V power frequency voltage. According to the national standard of our country, when the input voltage varies by + 10%, the relative percentage of the output voltage is called source effect.
For example, a regulated power supply with an output voltage of 100V whose specific value for the change of the transmission voltage due to the change of the input voltage is as follows:
Input voltage output voltage
AC220V (standard value) 100V
AC242V (change +10%) 100.1V
AC198V (change -10%) 99.9V
The power source, Uo, /Uo= = effect, U-Uo, /Uo=, 100.1-100, /100=0.1%
Uo, /Uo=, or = Delta, U-Uo, /Uo=, 99.9-100, /100=0.1%
As can be seen from the upper model, the voltage regulator has a source effect of 0.1% when its output voltage is 100V. That is, when the input voltage varies by 10%, the output voltage varies by 1/1000. (Note: when measuring source effects, the load should remain constant).
Load effect is the effect of load variation only when the output stability is changed due to the change of load.
An example is also given: a power supply operating in a steady state with an output voltage of 100V at no-load and a maximum load capacity of 5A. The output voltage varies as the no-load and the full load are as follows:
Power supply, load current, power supply output voltage
0A 100V
5A 99.7V
Three Delta Uo, load effect = /Uo=, U-Uo, /Uo=, 99.7-100, /100=0.3%
When the power supply works at 100V, the load effect is 0.3%. (Note: in measuring load effects, the input voltage should be kept at a standard value.)
In the above described source effect and load effect, the output quantity is stable for example to voltage stability, in fact in the work of the state power supply constant current, when the output current is a stable, but when the input voltage or load changes, the output current will also have some minor changes to the source the effect of this change is the constant flow state and load effect, there is no longer about.
